Chatting is not only for the purpose of entertainment but also a way to exchange brilliant ides. Sad to say the world of Yahoo Messenger has been inflicted with many issues that continue to live up to now and the future to come. Several applications have been developed to counteract these issues.
Let me share with you a little history about Yahoo Messenger chatting. Long time ago, chatters begin to send weird messages to other chatters for the purpose of annoying or vengeance to their "enemies" in this so called electronic world. They were then called "Booters". To "boot" can mean, "to disconnect/LAG a chatter from the chatroom". It can be on the form of "PM bombs", "Buzz Bombs", etc. Many chatters were dismayed by the birth of these evil "booters". These ruthless "booter" applications had their counterpart, the "Yahoo Chat Clients". Clients are used as a substitute to where we usually login (YM). Yahoo Chat Clients enable you to view your friends, send PM (Personal Message), join in Chatrooms, and many more features. It does work like the normal Yahoo Messenger. The great advantage is that these Clients are equipped with other options that are not found in the normal YM. The most important feature with Clients is its capability of protecting you from those nasty "booters". Despite of this, still it must be clear, "Nothing is unbootable".

if you are always online it is not advisable nga mag use mo ym. Maypa ug browser type nga chat-system inyong gamiton.

I'm using Meebo from MEEBO.COM or MEEBO.ORG maypa diha.. create ka account... pede na i online tanan nimo account sa ym, gmail, msn.. hehehehe hitting a flock of birds with one stone.

Sir, di ka maboot if browser type u gamit? pero limited features man pud ang browser. I've tried browser ym....peru i think walay cam and voice....

For those who wish to use Yahoo Chat Client, I would recommend YAHAVEN. Specially for newbies coz its easy to use, has a pleasant interface like the official YM and has an optio Shield to protect you from booters (though not 100% guaranteed). You can download the latest version of Yahaven at:

Note: its a freeware and clean. But you can still run your antivirus/antispyware just to double check.

well limited jud iyang features pero meebo now supports webcam and stuff. that is why mas pabor ko sa browser kay you only use it when you need it.

Regardings sa features, same man siguro gihapon, meebo can also support chat with channels. Example ana is ang chatbox ani nga forums.. meebo mana.

ako wa man koy paki, bsta maka chat lang ko ok ra ehheheh!

its nice to explore the world of ym...coz u'll encounter such applications/programs like booters/clients and many more....wherein these are created by programmers using different programming language like "DELPHI", etc.....so it is in-line with our course....

well if gusto mo mag create og bot sa ym or any other stuff nga kinanlan ug internet just practice PERL...
